Benefits of 360HRM

In our last blog we spoke about the 360HRM modules and this week we will share the benefits of 360HRM. As a reminder, 360HRM is a Human Resource Management solution. This is a solution that helps increase productivity and efficiency in your business.

The benefits include:

A. Efficiency

One of the key benefits is the efficiency it provides. What 360HRM offers is the ability to reduce the processing time from days or weeks to a matter of hours. Once you’ve executed the process in this digital space, it immediately sends an email notification to the next person in the workflow. This email then signals that a verification/approval process is waiting for action. In most organizations, someone comes with forms and puts them in the in-tray. This form may remain there for a few days, sometimes, the form even gets lost. However, when the notification comes through your email, it’s a simple click to open the email, check a box, and do the approval process. You have now quickly and easily completed that task which is seamlessly pushed forward to the next person in the workflow process.

B. Reach

Another benefit of 360HRM is its reach. Some clients prefer the application on-premise. For those clients, the application is set up on the server. But some prefer the application online or in a cloud-based environment. What the cloud-based environment eliminates are geolocation limitations. Hence, you can receive all the notices and still be able to approve, deny or reject requests, add comments, or whatever action you are required to do, wherever you are. It, therefore, eliminates the need to be at the office or a specific location, executing the task.

Additionally, this platform can be accessed on any device: your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. It doesn’t matter what device you have access to. Even if you are in a hotel and you must log in to the conference room system, you are going to have access to the application. This thereby maintains the efficiency that a digital environment allows.

C. Focus on Core Business Function

Satisfying your internal customer base is also a benefit. In many businesses, a significant amount of time is spent on activities that are not part of the core business function. Non-core functions can be quickly accessed and executed by simply implementing 360HRM. These functions can be quickly moved off the action item list. Consequently, one of the benefits of 360HRM is that everyone in the organization can spend more time focused on activities that drive business and revenue.

D. Trackability and Auditability

Employees like to know that their requests are handled very timely manner and where their request resides. One of the benefits of 360HRM is the trackability and auditability of this application. For example, an employee can sign into the application to confirm the status of their leave request – whether it is being reviewed by the supervisor or approved by the manager. An employee can monitor where the bottleneck occurs. The employee can monitor in real-time, if the request has been approved or if it’s been rejected. If the request has been declined, they can see the reason for the rejection.

Let’s look at another example in the Leave Management module. If a supervisor or manager rejects a request, they can simply enter comments such as, “not enough documentation” or “request for documentation” or “doctor’s note needed”. The employee can very quickly provide that information and then resubmit the request. It allows for a quick turnaround of activities, a critical component for an organization. Many times, when we speak to clients about their needs, one of the biggest issues is documents remaining on someone’s desk, or documents getting lost somewhere along the process. When those documents are uploaded into the 360HRM environment, they are not lost, they are secure.

E. Cost Reduction

Of course, cost reduction is another key benefit. Through the cost reduction, there is no longer a need for multiple printers throughout the organization. In many organizations, it is still the norm to have a printer on each desk. Organizations can now have a centralized printer for the activities that need to take place. With 360HRM, most of the processes are going to be online. This allows for savings on consumables, electricity, printer cartridges, and paper. There will be a reduction of wastage, not just from implementing the 360HRM solution but also from the push to digitize the organization. Digital transformation of an organization greatly reduces the amount of wastage that is added to our environment.
